If you are using any browser like chrome, firefox or opera you can only login to one gmail account. If you need to login to your other gmail account you have to sign out of the current account and login to other gmail account or If you are very busy with your daily work and want your friend to read and respond your important e-mails on your behalf then merging your account with your friends account would be a useful feature.
First login to your gmail account which you need to grant access to other gmail account. Then go to settings and click ‘Accounts and Import’ tab in the settings.
Lookup ‘Grant access to your account’ and click ‘Add another account’.
A window popups asking you the email address to whom to give your account grant access and click Next Step button at the bottom.
Then a confirmation message popups. Click ‘Send email to grant access’.
A message is sent to the e-mail account regarding confirmation and once the e-mail is accepted by the receiver then the receiver account have access to read and send emails on the behalf of the senders account account.
